Learn how to get started with Thread Stash in 3 easy steps
Getting started with Thread Stash could not be easier!
1 - Enter your stash into Thread Box
Thread Box tracks everything you have in your stash. There are over 30 brands in the Thread Stash library that can be entered in with a few taps.
All brands are sorted by number (brands with no numbers are sorted alphabetically by name); but you can also use the filter option to quickly add threads to Thread Box.
If a brand or color is missing from the library. You can easily add it using “Manually Add”. These threads will continue to be tracked throughout Thread Stash.
PRO TIP: You can also enter a partial skein by selecting “More” in the dropdown and typing the quantity you have, such as 0.5 or 1.5, etc.
2 - Add your current projects
When you have a new pattern to enter, add it to Thread Stash! Once you’ve added which threads are needed for your project, Thread Stash will compare what you have (in Thread Box) with what you need to buy (Shopping List).
Other amazing features of projects:
- Track start and completion dates
- You can add items from custom lists [Premium feature]
- You can add photos to your projects [Premium feature]
PRO TIP: Once you’ve completed your project, you can “Mark Threads as Used” by tapping the three dots in the corner. This removes the project quantities from your Thread Box. (If you used partial skeins, you may want to adjust the quantity on the thread before doing this)
3 - Add what you need to buy to your Shopping List
Missing threads you need for your project?
Tap the cart icon to quickly add it to your Shopping List.
You can also add ALL “missing” threads by quickly using the “three-dots” menu to “Add Missing Threads to Shopping List”. Anything you need for the project will be added to the Shopping List.
4 (optional) - Get the most with an upgrade!
You can upgrade to Premium and unlock features, including project photos, Fabric stash, Custom Lists, Calculators, and more! This is a one-time cost and features are available immediately.
